Thanks for taking the time to visit my page
In 2016 I unfortunately lost my mum to organ failure. On her passing in hospital I received a Made a Mark memory box. The contents of the memory box helped me process her passing as well as providing me with somewhere to keeps letters, photos etc. Every year I still find things to add and I also write down things I wish I could tell her and memorable events she may have missed.
I have been battling with neurological problems in my knees since the age of 11, with sport being a big hobby of mine it has been difficult to always participate. Growing up my mum was the biggest motivation, turning up to every match I had and writing me good luck letters! I’m sure a lot of you reading this will remember her legendary chocolate brownies, fruit shoots and sweets bundles she would always bring to our games! And not forgetting to my embarrassment the hot pink Crocs she would wear on her feet.
Therefore I am running Bristol Half Marathon on the 25th September 2022 in memory of my mum: Jacqui Davison for the amazing charity Made a Mark! This opportunity will give me the chance to do her proud, help fundraise for a fabulous charity and prove that obstacles and difficulties can be overcome to achieve goals and dreams.
The work Made a Mark does is truly incredible and has a huge impact on the lives of those they help.
