Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
THE CHALLENGE: Run to the Beat is a half marathon taking place throughout the London Borough of Greenwich. The event will start and finish at The O2 where there will be a festival atmosphere for competitors and spectators to enjoy. The additional unique aspect of the event is that it will work with Dr Costas Karageorghis to scientifically position and enlist live music throughout the course to inspire the 17,000 runners taking part including me! If you fancy joining us whether to run or just soak up the music you can visit http://www.runtothebeat.co.uk/
THE CHARITY: Seriously though I am not doing this purely for fun, there is an important reason. If like me you have been affected by friends and family with cancer you'll know how incredible the support is that Macmillan nurses provide. In all honesty I know I don't have the guts to do what they do. Earlier this year I made a promise, this is the only way I know how I can personally try and make a bit of a difference. Whatever size donation you would be willing to give, every little really helps. Until we can lick this thing once and for all, we all want the best care possible for loved ones, recession or no recession.
And now the technie bit.... Donating online through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation. However, if you would prefer to donate offline then a collection box will be installed on my desk at work.
