Story

Four sisters.  Four Days.  For…. the Florence Nightingale Hospice.

Well, The Edmonds Girls have always been a little crazy, but
now they’ve gone absolutely ‘box of frogs’ mad and signed up for the Ridgeway Hike for the Florence Nightingale Hospice.
Its 80 miles.  Yes, 80 miles. So why would they do this?

Because they remember, 28 years ago, when their Mum, Nora, visited the Hospice, first as a day patient, and then for increasingly longer stays, and how it became almost a sanctuary to her throughout her illness. The care & compassion from all the staff will never be forgotten especially how she was treated with dignity and respect. At the end of a very long battle, through the support of the Hospice her last wish was granted, to spend her last days at home with her children around her, the staff supported the family through the darkest of days and the words Thank You will never be enough.

The Florence Nightingale Hospice make the most awful of
times more bearable and we want them to be able to continue that work, bringing some comfort to others in their time of greatest need. Please help us by sponsoring us to do this crazy walk.  It will test us, it will probably hurt (a lot), we may not be speaking to each other by the time we finish, but with your support it will make a real difference to someone who needs it.
