Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGviing Page. Fundraising is hughely important to Macmillan. In Britain, Melanoma is increasing at a faster rate than any other cancer. Rates are set to triple by 2030. It took away my Grandmother, and now more recently my first cousin.
On 14th April '17, Good Friday, my fun-loving first cousin Sid, aged 55, godfather to my brother, lost his battle against an aggressive form of melanoma, six weeks after being diagnosed. Three weeks ago he was given 2days - to two weeks to live and he out-lived this prediction by two days . He fought like the gentleman he always was;
till the very end. He never complained and always remained positive and strong for his family. A selfless man till the end....

To honour his name, his strength, the palliative care nurses who supported him and his
family at the Royal Marsden and Macmillan nurses who work tirelessly to care
for terminally ill cancer patients.....
.....I will be HIKING 26miles from Brighton to Eastbourne along the stunning South Downs Way on 10th June... I might add here that this is a day after return from a week-long work trip to Las Vegas!!! 😫
For those that know me very well, in the last two years the gym has been a mere distant memory, a view in the rear mirror of the bus as it passes by. However I have a month to
turn this around and complete this for him.....
