Story
This year we lost a soul far too early from a disease that snatched him from his family and friends far too young.
There are no words that I can muster to tell you how great this little lad was, he lived and loved life and even as he faced his greatest battle stood strong and did what he did best, giggled and smiled.
That smile and that giggle is a sound and a sight that many of us will miss and cherish for the rest of our lives.
But in the face of his fight there were some silent, strong wings that were wrapped around him and his beautiful family to help make the saddest of journeys. These wings are the wings of the Chestnut Tree Hospice.
They cared, they protected, they enriched and they comforted. Its time now to show them how thankfully I am, as a family friend, for what they did.
Please. Forget this weeks take-away, or the morning coffee, or the lunch out. Please. Show your support and help more than 300 children and families who have to seek out the help from the Chestnut Tree each year.
