Fortel | Bike Ride for The Railway Children

Bham to Bath Charity Bike Ride · 28 August 2015
A Team of Fortel Staff, Friends and Family - have planned to ride their bikes from Birmingham to Bath to help raise money for some great charities. The group of around 15 non professional riders will take this challenge in aid of “The Railway Children”, “St Giles Hospice” & The Homeless in India.
3 team members have successfully completed a similar event in 2011 - Birmingham to Bournemouth 150 miles in 2 days which was in aid of The British Heart Foundation and The Sikh Channel.
BUT…This times its 100 miles in 12 hours and will test the rider’s stamina and strength physically as well as mentally.
The ride will start from Birmingham’s infamous icon “The Bull” at The Bullring Shopping Centre, cycling up to altitudes of over 1600ft yet down to 30ft above sea level and at times using national cycle route 45 through busy towns. The riders have to cope with the weather conditions, breakdowns/punctures, eating, drinking and ‘sleeping’ on the bike to complete 100 miles in 12hrs to arrive at the historical site “The Roman Baths” in Bath, the final destination.
All online donations will go directly to :
-The Railway Children to help the amazing work they do to improve the life of street children across UK, India and Africa before they become ingrained in street life.
-St Giles Hospice - our local charity organisation who offer specialist care for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and helpers.
All hand collected donations will be donated to build homes for the homeless in India.
Please help us with this endurance challenge by donating now to these important charities. The money we raise will go directly to support children, adults and the homeless. Dig Deep!
Many many thanks,
All @ Fortel
