I had never heard of Sepsis until my families world was torn apart in 2015 when it took my beautiful nephew, Oliver, at just 3 years old. Three years have now passed and although it hurts that there is nothing I can do to bring him home, I'm hoping to complete this challenge in his name and support the network of people affected by this devastating condition.
Sepsis might have left a minion shaped hole in our hearts, but it can't take away our memories and love for the cheekiest little man that has ever walked this earth.
Oliver's amazing parents and big brother, James, are the bravest and most inspiring people I know. His little sister Hollie reminds us all of him every day. She shares his infectious laugh and cheesy grins and never lets me forget how lucky I am to have had him in my life.
Every donation means the world to me and my family, we can't thank you enough.
Long distance running has never been my strength, but after completing the Sheffield Half Marathon in 2018, it's time for the next challenge in Oliver's memory - The Great North Run 2020!
Please take the time to read about the amazing work this charity does.
