Pedal to Paris · 30 August 2012
Fork Larks is a team of four Local Council Clerks cycling from London to Paris to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
Our team comprises: Chris Rolley (former Town Clerk at East Grinstead and now a consultant to Local Councils), David Carden (Town Clerk - Burgess Hill), Jamie Corrigan (Town Clerk - Fleet) and Richard Wickens (Parish Clerk - Felpham). We will be cycling 280 miles all the way to the Arc de Triomphe with 300 other cyclists.
Following on from our successful Coast to Coast cycle ride in 2011(Workington to Sunderland) we wanted a bigger challenge. Over a couple a beers we decided on London to Paris and to raise money for the Royal British Legion, a charity that we all work closely with through our jobs. 100% of monies raised goes to the Royal British Legion and we are meeting all of our costs for the ride
You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal. Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
So please dig deep and donate now. Many thanks - Chris, David, Jamie and Richard.
