We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Edinburgh Marathon in memory of Joey Lippiatt, my son in law.  Joey passed away last year after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.  Throughout his illness he was amazingly positive, never complained, well maybe just a little to those closest to him.  Joey lit up a room with his laughter, warmed your heart when he sang and was an inspiration to us all.

Cancer research and the incredible new treatments they find, we believe extended Joey,s time with his family.  The treatment he received sometimes was still in its trial stage and was very expensive.  we are enormously grateful for the skill of what cancer research does and we know that money raised will help reduce the pain for other cancer sufferers.  We hope that over time, cancer will be an illness of the past.  To achieve this we need to Just Give

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
