Story

My Aunty Sheila was diagnosed with Alzheimer's seven years ago, when she was 59 Years old. She was admitted into a nursing home at the age of 66 in November 2021 as she couldn't live independently. She was cared for at home for the past three years, which became increasingly difficult, and we had to make the difficult decision recently for her to go into a nursing home. She sadly passed away on Good Friday, 15th April 2022 aged 67. We want to help just a little for the research for Alzheimer's, so that hopefully, in the future, they find a cure.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
