Story
Now that I have completed the walk please visit my blog http://blisterednfootsore.blogspot.com/
which has been updated to reflect how I got on. If you would like to donate to BLESMA please visit my sister fundraising page http://www.justgiving.com/brizenortonplanepull/ and donate through that event.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm off to Nijmegen tomorrow to raise money for BLESMA. I have to walk 50km (31 Miles) on each of the 4 days and I have completed 400 miles so far in training. My aim to sponsor a former member of the UK Armed Forces on the annual BLESMA skiing trip has been completed, but further donations will still be channelled to this worthy cause. The skiing is a means to helping an ex-soldier regain confidence and rebuilding their life. They've risked all to help us so please help me to help them.
I am dedicating my efforts to the memory of Captain Alex Eida, 7 (Para) Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery. I have been contacted by Alex's uncle and father who have thanked me for my efforts and I have told them that I shall complete the marches in his honour. Capt Eida's unit have sent me 2 t-shirts which I shall wear on at least two days of the marches. Alex was unfortunately killed in action in August 2006. This is my way of helping repay society's debt to these fine men and women.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (Blesma) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
