On the 3rd May I will be riding down to Newhaven on my 8 year old Cube SL Cross to catch the "red-eye" ferry to Dieppe.  When I cycle down that ramp into France at 5am the following morning, all I need to do is keep the sun ahead of me and keep on pedalling until I reach Croatia, my spiritual home.

What route will i take?  South by South East.  Where will I stay?  Who knows, but I have a tent (and a hotel app if I need a shower). How long will it take? I need to arrive before the end of half term so my long suffering wife, and soul mate, Ria, can transport me and my trusty steed home.

Although this trip is for me, given the challenge, I hope you'll excuse my rattling the charity bucket .... so please dig deep for Macmillan Cancer Support.  Most of our lives are touched, either directly or indirectly, by the impact of this horrible disease, and the Macmillan team strive tirelessly to support its victims and their families..
