Thank you for visiting my page.
It's a big year for fundraising for me and for Headway Jersey, following the devastation loss to the charity of £150,000 due to Covid-19.
My Guinness World Record attempt to run the fastest marathon dressed as a brain at The London Marathon on Sunday October 3rd will hopefully help Headway raise essential funds to continue to provides essential support, services and information to people in Jersey who are affected by brain injury. I am also running in memory of my brother Vaughan and father Malcolm who both suffered brain injuries.
There are over 150 survivors of brain injury registered with Headway as members who have suffered from Stroke, Brain Tumour, Aneurysm and Accidents amongst many other causes with some requiring occasional support, however, up to 70 members access their services on a weekly basis. These services are an essential lifeline to the members and also provide support and respite to families and carers who need it most.
