Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those suffering with disability, technology can be used to help overcome physical barriers. It can allow everyone to have fun. SpecialEffect is a charity consisting of occupational therapists and technology experts who develop novel user interfaces that allow disabled children and adults to play videogames. This ranges from developing lightweight controllers and large buttons control pads all the way through to eyetracking and novel interfaces. Why do I think it is awesome? It allows everyone to have fun. It allows children to play together and it allows those physical barriers to be broken.
So why £650 as a fundraising target? The cost to set-up user interfaces varies greatly; given the wide range of technology required and time needed to set-up. However, on average, an individual set-up costs roughly £650 per person. If we get to this target then we can say that we have given an extra person the ability to have fun.
So during GameBlast18, I will be organising a gaming get-together which will culminate in my head being shaved, and I was also be streaming on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to raise money for this excellent charity. Everybody is welcome to come along (https://www.twitch.tv/fluffybunesq) and your support would be greatly appreciated.
