Story
About me and why I support See Ability:
If you found your way here you might know that my name is Flo, I'm austrian and currently living in Berlin, where I work in FinTech. You might know (since runners love to talk about running) that I have finished 15 Marathons up to date and that PB'd in Berlin in 2:56:33h last year.
What you might not know is that I have a younger brother living with Trisomie 21. What you might not know is the difficulties my parents encountered in finding support when it came to finding a kindergarden and school that supported his growth. Or the difficulties in finding a meaningful job. What you might not know is how many of these kids suffer from sight problems that are heavily impacting their daily life.
That´s why i chose to support See Ability by running the London Marathon 2023 and raising funds to help people with disabilities lead a barrier-free life.
How your support helps:
- 25€ could contribute towards a communication device to promote choice and independence.
- 50€ could provide sensory activities for someone living with sight loss so they can experience the world in their own unique way
- 70€ can support someone with a disability to gain a meaningful career through our supported employment programme 'Ready,Willing and Able'
- 100€ could help someone with a life limiting condition have exercise
therapy to live life to the full.
But every amount helps, whether you virtually invite me for a coffee or a piece of cake or a Pizza.
Thanks so much for helping to support See Ability
