Story
The Papougnot family (Team FLORESCA) are joining forces to collect as much sponsorship as possible to help the charity WaterAid to finance projects in 17 countries providing water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the world's poorest people.
Team FLORESCA will attempt three ambitious challenges in Air, Sea and Land environments:
· Ultra Run: 7 marathons in 7 consecutive working days (May 2010)
· Allo à l’eau: The first family cross channel swim (July/August 2010)
· Opération Pélican II: The first human powered flight in a hang glider over the channel (date to be confirmed)
Team FLORESCA is undertaking a holistic training programme consisting of swim, run and flight sessions on a regular basis in order to be fit and ready to successfully achieve these unique challenges. Sophie (42) is the swim leader, Patrick (46) lead the ultra-marathon and the flight attempt. Both Florence (16) and Estelle (14) will take part in the first family cross channel relay swim. They will also take part in some of the preparation of the ultra-marathon and the flight. Camille (4) is the upcoming athlete in the family who provides the team with good spirit and inexhaustible energy.
Team FLORESCA is looking not only to have fun and become fit but also to raise money for the charity WaterAid. They will be most grateful if you would support their attempts and donate whatever amount you find sensible.
In advance, Team FLORESCA thank you for your kind and generous support.
