Story
RESTORE is a fabulous charity that helps people that are struggling with their mental health, wherever they are in their walk of life. I ran the Oxford Half for these wonderful people last year, but I signed up to the event 3 days before it started, which did not give a very large window for fundraising... or training for that matter. THIS YEAR EVERYTHING CHANGES. In exchange for your kind donations, I will actually use my legs and learn how to run. I'm currently in the make-a-pretty-running-plan phase of training. It's going swimmingly... (runningly?) So please donate anything you can to this wonderful charity and I, in return, will try and use my little legs as fast as I can.
Here is what RESTORE have to say about their fabulous work:
Mental illness affects one in four of us in our lifetime, but people can, and do, recover.Restore is an Oxfordshire mental health charity that supports people to take control of their recovery, develop skills, and lead meaningful lives. We offer recovery groups, training and employment coaching to make this possible. We are one of the longest-established, and most highly-regarded community rehabilitation services in the UK. Founded in 1977, we are part of a partnership of local mental health organisations with a commitment to helping people to recover, stay well and participate in and contribute to the life of our county.Working towards a time when people with mental ill-health are fully empowered to live meaningful lives.
