I am an immigrant from Costa Rica. My courageous mother decided to move her three daughters to the US in search of better life opportunities from what she could provide for us as a single mom in our home country. I am proud to share that my sisters and I are established professionals with Master degrees who can provide the social and academic support to our children that we lacked when we where in high school. Access to higher education changed the trajectory of our lives. I believe that college access is key to the improvement of livelihoods. It is an honor and privilege to work at a higher education institution that takes a wholistic approach to the well-being of students. I am raising funds so that the college can respond in real time to urgent needs and remove non-academic barriers to student success.
