Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving

Flitwick Ampthill & Wixams CFR Group have expanded to a group of five community first responders. We support East of England Ambulance Service by responding to 999 calls in our area. We are volunteers trained by EEAS our role is to help stabilise the patient until the crew arrives. We rely on donations from our local community and businesses to support the group as it’s totally funded by donations.

We are hoping to raise money to buy a Raizer II chair for our community. It will allow us to lift patients after a fall and in a lot of cases stand down an ambulance to attend the patient. This should help in reducing the waiting times for an ambulance crew to arrive for other patients. We have been specially trained to assess patients after a fall and to assist them to return to their normal routine, if the patient is not able to do so we can also call for a crew to help the patient in getting treatment sooner.
