Story

Team Flip Flip … The All Stars!!

The kids are back! But this year the toddlers aren’t toddlers anymore; so they are taking on a proper track and taking part in the Community Mile at Cheltenham Racecourse. Running, to raise funds for Leckhampton Court Hospice.

They are being joined by an all star support crew of adults (the running from the support crew may be questionable 😂). This ‘All Star’ team has a age range from 2 months to those in their 60s.

Erin is so excited to be joined by her friends and they are all kindly doing this in memory of her daddy and to continue our support of Leckhampton Court. To try and raise as much money as we can, to provide vital care in our community to families when it matters the most.

Just as Ben always did we want to continue to think of others and find the positive. Ben said 'go big or go home!' when it comes to fundraising and that’s what we will continue to do.

Ben was at the hospice for 36 days and was 36 when he died. His friends and family have already help smash the original £17,000 target he set (this covered his care for the time he was there), and have now raised £63k!

For the last 5 weeks of Ben’s life he was lucky enough to be at Leckhampton Court. Where he went to LIVE his final weeks. Where he could be with Erin,, laugh and have fun …. and so much fun was had! Those memories are priceless now and we think about the hospice everyday.

The aim is to now ensure we can help as many other families as possible to create their own priceless memories. So we are aiming to hit £65,000 by the end of the year if we can ….. and we are so close!

To put into perspective how valuable your donations are, here's some running costs for the hospice. Please use these as your motives behind a donation as every penny really does count.

* £19 pays for one hour hospice care

*£140 pays for the cost of a nurse for a day

* £150 pays for a working bag with all the kit in for a Hospice at home nurse

*£500 pays for a bed for a day of inpatient care

* £1000 could pay for a hospice nurse for a week

So dig deep if you can and thank you so much for your support.

Love the All Star Team Flip Flop xxx
