Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones
They’re the modern stone age athletes
Off to the town of Medoc
They’re some fundraisers who just can’t be beat
Let’s run with the family through the vines
Sampling oysters, cheese and local French fine wines
When you sponsor the Flintstones
You’ll have a yabba dabba doo time
A dabba doo time
You’ll have a gay old time
Hello everyone,
Thanks for visiting this page. On the 8 September 2012, 9 reprobates will be attempting to complete the Medoc Marathon down in Bordeaux dressed as Flintstone characters to raise money for Jersey Hospice Care.
Mark Cankett, Anne Park, Catherine Law, Steve Robinson, Shaz Haridimou, Tina Finan, Ian MacEachern, Baz Javanshiri and Caspar Clark have been training like Phillips Idowu and George Best for the last few months in order to battle 26.2 miles of vineyard, 32 degree temperatures, 100% polyester fancy-dress outfits and 30 cheese wine and oyster stops en route.
As a reward for us being subjected to accordian music all the way around and putting our lives in the hands of French medical services we would all appreciate you donating as much as you feel able to this worthy cause:

Jersey Hospice recently blew my perception of what Hospice Care is all about. As well as providing excellent attentive care and pain relief they also gave mum a wonderful environment (big rooms, amazing food, a gorgeous garden and a stonking view over St. Aubin's Bay) with a great relaxed attitude (letting us & her Border Terrier Mabel sleep over, playing music on the balcony, helping us throw an olympic opening ceremony party and even turning a blind eye to the gin and tonic!).
Most importantly they allowed mum to truely enjoy real quality time together with her family and for all of us to treasure our last moments together - something I can't ever thank them enough for.
Having recently doubled the number of beds they provide to 18 as well as continuing to provide day care relief for carers they need all of the £500,000 it takes to run each year. This is on top of the work many volunteers do freely to put a smile on faces at the end of the road. Please help them continue to make this trying time as painless and valuable as possible - it really does make a huge difference and will do for the rest of my life.
Thanks everybody,
