Story
I am raising funds to carry out home adaptions to enable my son Fletcher to live an easier life.
Fletcher was diagnosed with global development delay aged just over 12 months of age and soon went on to be given a formal genetic diagnosis of 15q11.2 microdeletion. Fletcher is delayed in all areas of development. He turned 4 in November but is still unable to crawl or walk, speak or communicate. He relies on adults for all aspects of daily living.
Fletcher started a specialist school last September and has settled in so well & has all the necessary equipment he needs there. However, we are struggling with Fletcher at home due to constant lifting and carrying him up and down stairs, in & out the bath etc.
A downstairs bedroom and bathroom with full hoist access will benefit the family enormously making it easier and safer to bath Fletcher and allow him a greater involvement with the family.
