Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Next year I am taking part in a charity walk for the Meningitis Trust. My best friends daughter contracted meningitis at 6 weeks old. Lauren proved doctors wrong. Her parents were told she would never walk or talk or have any quality to her life. At 2 years old she was given a trike by the Meningitis Trust and developed a passion for cycling. Earlier this year at the age of 10 she completed a 25 mile ride for the Trust celebrating their 25 years helping people affected by meningitis. She now trains with Federation of Disability Sports Wales and the Chippenham Wheerlers and we are all hoping she will be competing in the Paralympics 2020! To top all that Lauren was last month awarded Sports Personality of the Year - Athlete with a Disability for the Wiltshire and Swindon area. To raise money for this worthwhile charity I shall be walking along various parts of the Great Wall of China for 6 days (its not all flat - some of it is really steep!!!) During the year leading up to this challenge I shall be raising money in various different ways as well as following a rigid training plan.
