The idea of completing the National Three Peaks Challenge was forged at my Dads (Barry Mallott) wake on Thursday 1st July 2021. We all discussed how cancer had affected family members & friends within recent years. We all concluded that we would raise money for a Cancer based charity by completing the national Three Peaks in 24 hours or less! In the past six weeks we've been meeting up and carrying out practise walks. Our biggest hike to date was over the Jubilee weekend by successfully completing Scafell Pike. We're all aware that this challenge is not going to be easy! As per the cover photo, we need to complete Scotland, England & Wales tallest mountains within 24 hours. The three climbs consist of: Ben Nevis (1345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m). Approximately 11 hours of driving (500miles) and 13 hours of hiking.
