Story

We may have sworn 'never again' after the last ride, but Flannery just can't stay off of that bicycle or ignore the chance to raise money for a good cause.

Flannery Plant Hire are proud to support the incredible efforts of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, who provide a dedicated around-the-clock helpline to support thousands of people across the construction industry.

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations this year, Paddy Flannery Snr was going to be taking part in the 'On Yer Bike' cycle challenge from the 11th-15th of May.

Unfortunately, Paddy has picked up an injury while training for this and will no longer be able to take part - but, in the name of charity, we've had a brave volunteer offer to step in and complete the cycle on Paddy's behalf.

Keeping it in the family, our new Marketing Manager has roped in her partner, Alex, to take on this mammoth challenge.

This will see him cycling the length of Ireland over the three days. The sponsored trip, starting in Leitrim and finishing in Killarney, will be held with the aim of raising £100,000 to help the charity continue to help construction workers and their families in need of emotional, physical and financial support.

All donations make a difference, so please pledge as much as you can to support Alex's efforts and this great initiative.
