Story
What I'm doing and why I'm doing it:
In March 2019 I will be attempting to complete 5 Half Marathons (Minimum of 13.1 Miles) in 5 Consecutive Days (Wednesday - Sunday). This mega challenge is to raise money for our heroes who risked everything and asked for nothing in return. The money raised will help those affected from their selfless act of courage. I wanted to make this challenge as crazy and challenging as possible due to the fact that I am fortunate enough to be able to attempt something of this magnitude. Some of those affected during their duties are now in a position where they can not run anymore, some of whom struggle to walk and for many, their injuries may mean that walking may never be an option for them again. They put their bodies through so much for us and to ensure our safety, so I would like to do as much as I can to give back to them.
Why Five in Five?
I have always been one to challenge myself and in recent years I have put myself through physical (and I suppose mental) challenges for the sense of achievement and most of the time, simply because I love it!
- 2015 - 24 Hour Triathlon (College)
- 2016 - Spartan Super
- 2017 - Spartan Beast
- 2018 - Colchester Half Marathon
The most recent challenge, the Colchester Half Marathon, left me with huge ambition of creating something amazing and doing it for charity! So I decided to plan and organise my 2019 challenge, FIVE IN FIVE.
Your Support:
Every donation made to Help For Heroes is greatly appreciated. The charity offers numerous opportunities and endless support for those that may require it. Any donation made to Help For Heroes will make a huge impact on someone's life.
Throughout the five days, I know there will be plenty of times where I will require some extra motivation. Seeing the support, encouragement and donations on this page will provide me with exactly that, and I know it will help me complete this physically and mentally demanding challenge!
Thank you so much for your support!
