Story
Myself and a group of friends who started walking together during lockdown (within the restriction limits of course) are going to attempt to get to the summit of Mount Toubkal in Morocco, walking over 3 days to the summit and back. Toubkals summit is 4167m (13671ft) above sea level, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. We're expecting the terrain to be tough and it will be high enough that there is the potential to experience altitude sickness too, so it's a bit of a step into the unknown.
Reuben’s Retreat was founded in August 2012, just 2 days after Reuben Graham died aged just 23 months old. His Mummy Nicola created the charity to help others who are facing or already dealing with similar heartbreak, walking side-by-side with families offering emotional and practical support for parents and siblings bereaved of a child and for families of life limited or threatened children who face uncertain futures. To find out more about this incredible charity, please visit their website www.reubensretreat.org or social media channels.
We previously had a team page on another site, but unfortunately that company decided to close down their website last November, but all donations to that page (a total of £2406.25 including gift aid) has already gone to the charity, so massive thanks to all who previously donated.
