Story
The Fishing Ladz are a group of friends brought together by their love of football & rugby, being competitive in both 6-a-side football & rugby sevens.
This year we will be raising money for the Movember Organisation. The state of men’s health is in a crisis. Simply put, men are dying too young. Movember seek to make a global contribution to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. This ambition underpins everything they do. It is the driving force behind their campaigns, funding strategy, and vision for the future.
Movember raises awareness for Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Mental Health & Suicide Prevention, all of which could effect a young group of men like us in the future & is already effecting thousands of men and their families around the world.
Our goal is to raise £750 between us for Movember, In return for your donations we will all be taking part in Movember.
The requirements for Movember are simple, start the month cleanly shaven & over the month try and grow the best moustache possible. As some of you may know, some our team are young & beady-eyed, so growing their moustache may be an issue, so we are challenging them to No-Shave November where they will try & grow there best facial hair.
We are all taking part & we also want to challenge others to take part! Whether that be taking on the challenge yourself or simply donating! We want everyone to be involved!
All donations matter, £1 or £100 we are grateful for everything that we receive! We will be documenting our moustache's along the way and posting regular updates on the situation, so make sure you keep an eye on the @FishingladsFC twitter & our personal Facebooks!
