Story
A group of First Potteries bus drivers, including myself, plus friends are taking part in the Boycott your Bed fundraiser for Action for Children.
On Friday 9th July, we will be sleeping in Hanley Bus station for the night. Please help us raise money for a very worthy cause, spending the night in the most unusual place we can think of to raise funds for Action for Children that will help children and families go to bed dreaming of a safe and happy future. This includes Katie, who was referred to Action for Children after suffering abuse at the hands of an ex-partner, and struggling with her mental health. Her support worker, Hannah, became a vital lifeline. "Hannah is consistent, and I know she is always available on the end of the phone...I don't know what I would do without her. With Action for Children, I feel cared for and protected."When coronavirus hit, life got even harder for Katie and her son Christopher. Through Action for Children's Coronavirus Emergency Fund, Katie got a grant to pay for the basics as well as food vouchers. "Before I was crying and always stressed...It was a godsend."Please help me raise funds to help vulnerable children, young people and families across the UK.
