In April 2009 I will be running - or attempting to run - my first marathon around London for Live Life Then Give Life and The Lewis Prior Foundation.
You can read all about Live Life Then Give Life - a national transplant charity - elsewhere on this page, or on their website at http://www.livelifethengivelife.co.uk They are a charity very close to my heart following my brother-in-law's life-saving double-lung transplant in November 2007.
The Lewis Prior Foundation was set up by Colin and Karen Prior in memory of their son, Lewis. Their website, http://www.thelewispriorfoundation.org/ - explains:
"Lewis was our son, who we very sadly lost on April 6th 2004, he was in need of an urgent heart transplant. He was just two years and eight months old. Lewis was a happy, brave & special little boy, who we miss a lot. We want him to remain in the memories of those that knew him, and for those that did not meet him, to be told just how very special he was. That’s what this website is about, to raise awareness of the condition he died of & to raise much needed funds for care centres."
I can't think of two causes more deserving of my efforts or your sponsorship, so I hope you'll support me and them through the marathon next year.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Live Life Then Give Life gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for your sponsorship and your support.
