Story
Thank you for wanting to donate to St. John’s Ambulance! It’s such an honor to run the London Marathon in their name.
When I was a kid I always wanted to be a Brownie like the other kids, but when I joined St. John’s Ambulance I knew that there was no other club I would want to be part of. We learnt all kinds of skills like CPR and emergency drills ranging from car crashes to finding someone injured at home. I know of three separate incidents where I used what they taught me. That’s three lives that were positively affected by the training they provided me when I was a youngster!
St. John’s Ambulance is a non profit dedicated to providing first aid training to the nation. Their services reach far and wide, and you have likely had some sort of interaction with them!
They provide; ambulance services, community first responders, community teaching, volunteer opportunities, event medical services, online first aid advice as well as learning opportunities for young people who may not have access to first aid training otherwise.
First aid is such a simple skill, but is vital for our nations communities if we want to strive to help and support each other. SJA help 400,000 people each year learn the skills to save lives, including myself!
