We are running the Edinburgh marathon to raise money for our friends’ little girl Winnie to fund much needed physiotherapy and speech and language therapy.

Winnie is an amazing 8 year old who has faced some incredible challenges in her life. Winnie was critically ill when she was born and spent most of her first months in intensive care. She has survived two open heart surgeries and lots of medical complications including being diagnosed with epilepsy and retinal dysplasia (a condition that has left her completely blind). Despite all this, Winnie is a little fighter and has shown the incredible progress she can make with the right support.  Unfortunately there is very limited support Winnie can access through the NHS and getting the help she really needs is expensive. Physiotherapy and speech and language therapy make such a big difference to Winnie and all the money we raise will go directly towards funding these treatments, and any supportive equipment she needs, to help Winnie live the best life possible.
