Story
As you can see from the picture I have always been a passionate runner, and as Big Al (Dad) has had to give up his marathon days (do NOT worry, he hasn't given up on the tash yet), I have decided to take this unique running style to the streets..all the streets in London, for the 2018 London Marathon.
Having suffered rhythm problems on the dance floor for most of his life, this issue spread to Dad’s heart due to a tumour which was successfully removed. For five years he has gone through countless medical procedures until this year, when he was given a pace maker. His dancing may not have improved but he is back on the ski slopes and couldn't look better.
All this would not have been possible without the work that The British Heart Foundation do. Through pioneering research the medical options my Dad has been given would not have been there without fundraising and the generosity of you, my dear beautiful, intelligent friends and family.
This is why I will be running for BHF, it’ll be a walk in the park compared to what Al has gone through and he has promised to be my “pace maker”, or tell a joke about being my pacemaker at every opportunity.
Thank you so much
