In 2019 - back in the days when walking wasn't the only thing we were allowed to do, I set myself the challenge of all 4 Kiltwalks. I achieved that target - and said "never again!"
But things change and when I decided I needed a target to build it up to where I was pre-COVID, returning to the Kiltwalk seemed a great solution.
Waverley Care is Scotland’s leading HIV charity, and I am proud to Chair it's board of trustees.
We’re close to making new HIV diagnoses a thing of the past. But misinformation and stigma are holding us back. With your help, Scotland can #GetToZero new HIV transmission by 2030.
DID YOU KNOW:
Scotland was the first country in the UK to make Pre-Exposure Prophalaxis (PrEP) available for free on the NHS? PrEP is highly effective at preventing HIV transmission.
Only a third of people in Scotland would kiss a person living with HIV, despite it being known since the 1980s that HIV cannot be passed on through saliva?
And while many believe that HIV is a "gay issue", for the first time ever in Scotland, the rates of new HIV diagnoses are now higher among heterosexual people than among gay and bisexual men.
