Walk for Skin - London, 12 February 2007

Story

Hi and thanks for visiting!

I have decided this year to do the British Skin Foundation's Walk for Skin. I am a member of one of the Foundation's partner charities, the Birthmark Support Group and the money that I raise will be split between them 50/50.

As many of you will know, I have been receiving  treatment on my face about every 6 weeks for the past 4 years. Although the treatment is successful, much of the medical profession and the public at large have a lot to learn about the psychological impact of both the condition and the treatment. In addition, many people (myself included) have to travel a very long way for the treatment. I hope that in raising the money, attitudes towards people with skin conditions can be improved and that the facilities for treatment can be made accessible to more people.

The walk will be all the more tough as it takes place on the Sunday after a hen weekend!

Many many thanks to European Events Ltd for their very generous offline donation.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Skin Foundation and the Birthmark Support Group will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
