For the 6th year running, I will be taking part in Race For Life to raise money for Cancer Research on Sunday 12th July in Oxford. 

My brave Dad lost his battle with this terrible disease, as did my Grandmother and other family members, so my desire is strong to run this race in their memory.

This year I will also be running in memory of a dear friend and colleague, Allison, who's story inspired me to continue fundraising for this cause. With Alli's blessing and encouragement last year I raised almost £800 in her honour. Unfortunately she lost her battle in December 2014.   The strength and courage Alli met her illness with was nothing short of inspirational and I know she would want us to continue the fight and raise money to help others beat this disease. 

Each year as I take part in this event, I am overwhelmed with the realisation of just how many people have been affected by cancer and so I would like to ask that you please sponsor me as much or as little as you can to help more people survive as every penny helps in funding Cancer Research UK's work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.

I am not only doing this for the people that I have personally lost but for friends and family who have also lost loved ones through this terrible disease... and for those that are currently fighting it.. THIS IS FOR YOU!! ♥
