Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Yes it is that time of year again and count down to the 26th April! This year I have decided to run on behalf of Keech Cottage, a local Children's Hospice which supports families from across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes who are caring for a child or young person diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. If you would like to know more about this extremely worthwhile charity then please look at their website www.pasque.org.
As in previous years, the person who guesses closest to my finishing time will win a piece of Fiona Rae Jewellery. Please leave your estimated time in the comment box when you sponsor me. I will be posting the times from anybody who sponsors me offline at the bottom of this page, so please check to see whether your time is still available. My last year's time was 3hrs.50 51secs, Jill Webb won with 3.50 30sec. My previous year was 4.06 - Please post your times before I start the race!! As this may be my last one ( Dan and the girls might leave me if I sign up again) your guess whether I will go for it ,or just decide to enjoy myself ( I know it is hard to comprehend) is as good as mine.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pasque Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!

Training update:
24/3/09: I am in the middle of my heaviest mileage month so extremely tired. All going to plan so far (apart from misaligned pelvis, blisters and now sore knee today). Finished a 20mile run in the Pennines last Saturday ( breathtaking in more ways than one) and have another to do this weekend. Ruby my dog is a fantastic running buddy, however she lost two of her expensive running shoes whilst chasing a squirrel in the woods last week so I am not too impressed.
21.4.09: Countdown now, final week and getting quite excited. Training all seems to have gone to plan-ish, the high point was my last long run along the coast at St Davids in Pembrokeshire on Easter Monday- quite spectacular. Ruby is a brilliant training buddy although I haven't been able to quantify whether the efforts of her pulling me up the hills outweighs my dragging her away from other dogs/rabbits/squirrels. Guess I will find out on Sunday!
Slightly concerned that it is going to be a hot one!!
