We want all those affected by addiction to heal, transform and thrive

Story

Well - we did it! Three hours of aerobics in Regents Park last Sunday (28th), and it was good.

Grace, James and I travelled up to London with our friends, Kaz and Casey, who were also participating.  Although there had been rain overnight,  the ground was dry and it was hot and sunny.

We began with an hour of salsa - "I want to see those hips moving" - and then moved into an hour of Abba.  We learned a fabulous routine to Mamma Mia, which was fun and finished with an hour of Carnival Jam.  Troy was fit  and he led us through a gruelling hour of limbo inspired moves, which challenged our upper thighs, bums and balance to the extreme.  A real killer!

A group of London's 'pin up calendar' firemen were on hand to dispense water (in bottles, not hoses) throughout the afternoon, and they joined in with the carnival jam.  I think they seriously enjoyed getting funky with the young scantily clad beauties that were there.

Unfortunately I did a dying swan act on the train home, suffering with dehydration (despite drinking lots) but this did not detract from the enjoyment or challenge of the event.

Would I do it again?  Probably too early to decide. It feels a bit like childbirth at the moment, immediately afterwards you say 'never again' but then the memory fades and you do.

Thank you all so much for your generosity in sponsoring me - in total I think I have raised over £600 ( plus Gift Aid).  This will make a real difference to the residents at Yeldall Manor, who have been a real support for me.

much love
