We are lucky enough to have places for this year's London Marathon and are busy pounding the roads in preparation. Whilst this is a personal goal for us, it would be good to see some benefit for others and hence we have chosen to run for the Maggies's Centres charity.

 We have always been interested in the work of Maggie's Centres, which aim to give support and advice to those with cancer, and to encourage them to take an acitve role in their treatment. Maggie's Centres are all housed in specially designed, beautiful buildings which aim to provide a haven for those living with a diagnosis of cancer. The charity is currently fundraising for a new centre at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. If you were able to make a donation to this worthy cause, we would be very grateful. It would be of huge benfit for many and would provide us with that extra motivation we will undoubtedly need as we make our way round the 26.2 miles.
