Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.
Welcome to our page. This year Paulo Pontine will be running
100 laps around the school for our chosen charity. The house voted to raise money for Cancer Research UK after Ben Barnes (yr 10) nominated it for our charity assemblies, inspired by his tutor Mrs Beale.
Cancer has affected all of us. Whether it be someone personal
to you, or those that inspired all of us - such as David Bowie, Bob
Marley, Walt Disney, Nelson Mandela or Steve Jobs; the list is endless.
However, there is someone in particular that has influenced many others and me greatly; our tutor Mrs Beale. After a sad goodbye breakfast with us, she started undergoing treatment on the 8th of November last year. With the support of her husband Mr Beale and some nice messages from our tutor group, she had many long and exhausting operations before eventually beginning chemotherapy. She has been put to the test but is determined to come out on top, and hopefully return to school after Easter. She is very close to all of our hearts, supporting us throughout the Upper School. But now it’s time for us to start supporting her which is why we need you to donate to Cancer Research UK in the name of Mrs Beale.
50% of people born after 1960 will be diagnosed of some form
of Cancer during their lifetime. This could be you. With the help of your
donations, Cancer Research are aiming to have 3/4 people surviving cancer by 2034. Every penny counts.
