Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running as part of a team 'Jo's Electric Fairies'.

We are running in memory of two very strong, brave and wonderful women :-

Jo (Fiona' Friend) was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of the appendix late 2009. After surgery and chemo Jo was recovering well and life returned to normal. In late September she fell ill again and was admitted to a hospice in January 2011. Jo was always happy and smiling with a wicked sense of humour. She loved playing rounders and going / watching to Dirty Little Secrets (DLS). Other than Nick her other love was her dog Maise. 24 hours before Jo passed away a special licence was issued to grant her last wish - to marry Nick, the love of her life. A brave friend who fought to the end, always in our thoughts, rest in peace Jo xxx (Nov 3rd 1980 - Feb 18th 2011)

Eileen (Nicola's Mum, Vicky's Grandma), passed away from metastatic breast cancer 3 weeks after diagnosis. She was the centre and lifeline of the family, our rock and confidant and the glue that held us all together, looking after everyone and always ensuring their happiness above hers. She had a naughty sense of humour along with a cheeky mischievous side that she maintained right through her fight and was never afraid to say what she thought. A strong brave Mum and Grandma who is deeply missed everyday and always in our hearts and thoughts xxx (Jan 19th 1947 - Nov 24th 2013)

Please remember no donation is to small!

Thanks

Fiona
