Story
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page and for reading my story.
I am Tilly and I am 10 years old. When I was younger, I was diagnosed with Autism. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK. Only 1 in 6 autistic adults are in full time employment.
My mum works for a company called the Lloyd’s Market Association. They have partnered with the National Autistic Society as their chosen charity of the year. I love going into their office. They have lots of chocolate and everyone who works there is really nice.
In order to support the National Autistic Society, I will be walking their 5k Spectrum Colour Walk in London on Sunday 2 April. By sponsoring me today, you will help support autistic people, like me and their families. Be it running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights or training companies on being more autism-friendly, they are dedicated to transforming lives and changing mindsets.
