Many of you know that over the last 6 months I have been doing some work with rough sleepers in Brighton. Spending time with this invisible community within our city I’ve come to understand how easy it is to become homeless in today’s social-economic climate. Contrary to popular myths, the majority of real rough sleepers do not want to stay on the streets. They want and need a safe & secure roof over their heads. Surely this is the very minimum as a society we can hope for. I will be joining friends and colleagues on Friday March 16th sleeping out for one night to help raise awareness for this huge problem.
