Fundraising for Diabetes UK
Story
Hello and thanks for visiting our site
Peter and I have decided to join in the charity events that Finance are involved with this year, and so we are joining RBS Payables to do the Great Scottish Walk on 22nd June 2008. The 12 mile walk wends it way round (although it frequently just feels like up) Edinburgh.
We are taking the liberty of writing to you to ask for some sponsorship for the Walk. As it can get as hot as 15 degrees in Edinburgh in June
(sweltering) you can be assured that it will be a challenge, given our current levels of fitness :-) As some of you will know Fiona has been having trouble with her asthma recently, and although would like to do the full 12 miles, may need to take the slightly shorter 6 mile route. However, she will be there to wave Peter and the rest of the teams over the finish line, if that happens on the day.
RBS Payables have agreed to support 4 charities this year, which are listed below. The team we have joined is supporting Diabetes UK, but the total raised is equalised between all 4 so you can be assured that any funds raised are going to a good cause. All of these charities do excellent work and we hope you will be willing to find something to help support them.
