We Provide free ECG screenings to Detect undiagnosed heart conditions

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, I decided to challenge myself by registering for the Southend Half Marathon to support the Carli Langsley Foundation. While I enjoy taking a crazy challenge every now and then, I've never participated in an event like this or run such a long distance before.

Karl is the founder of the Carli Langsley Foundation, a charity he established in memory of his late wife who passed away in 2017 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) aged just 36.
Their children were just 6 and 10 years old at the time. The foundation aims to organize heart screening days in memory of Carli, and after six years, the charity is going from strength to strength. The free screenings are open to individuals aged 14-35 without requiring a referral, and to date, they have screened over 1500 young people. Following their screening, almost 60 individuals have been referred for further investigation.

The proceeds from the Southend Half marathon will be used to fund a screening day that can potentially save even more lives.
