We support research to improve the quality of life for children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 6th October 2013 I will be running/walking/crawling my way around the (thankfully) very flat streets of Bremen (Germany) to raise funds for the Paediatric Rheumatology Discretionary Fund. This is a small charity with no employees so every penny really does go to support research. This charity is now raising funds to support essential research into juvenile idiopathic arthritis and dermatomyositis by the staff at Great Ormond Street and University College London Hospitals and their laboratories.

I became aware of this charity when Phoebe (in the middle of the picture), the daughter of a friend, was diagnosed with arthritis. The work done by this charity is proving vital in helping to alleviate the suffering and promote research into this extremely debilitating disease. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sponsor me (I am really going to need the motivation around the course) and help to raise fund not only for my friend's daughter but also for so many other children with arthritis.

I set up this page less than a week ago and have already smashed my target - THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous. Went on my longest run to date today (managed 15 km which is just 6 km short of the total distance) and my knees seem to be holding up fairly well ... btw has anyone got some good music tips to run to?
