In June 2013, I will be volunteering in Tanzania for 10 weeks through the International Citizenship service (ICS) with Raleigh International. I decided to take part in the ICS program as it brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most.  Please donate whatever you can, even the smallest of donations will help towards this great cause!  

What's this about Skydiving?

I am paying to do a tandem skydive in June. I'm quite excited, but to be honest, even thinking that high is making me pretty scared and doing it for charity definitely makes it more appealing! 100% of all that is fundraised will go to Raleigh International. I'll definitely get a picture to show you all!

So you're probably thinking what is this even about…(this seems really long but I promise it won't take too much time to read!!!)

What is Raleigh International?

What I will be doing in Tanzania

In Tanzania, I will be working with 11 other volunteers, half from the UK and half from Tanzania on both community and environmental projects. For example, expanding access to education, protecting the environment by educating locals about sustainability and improving health and sanitation facilities e.g. building new sanitation units. 

After learning about the Millennium Development Goals and the importance of sustainability throughout school, through Raleigh Tanzania I will be experiencing at first hand what charities are doing to help countries such as Tanzania, one of the poorest countries in the world to tackle these problems.

Where will the money go?

ALL THAT IS FUNDRAISED will go towards Raleigh International and their fight to make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
