Our UK projects, Petra, Action Pantry and Clothesline support families in need across the South West by providing accommodation, food, and clothes. In the Philippines, we help street children to regain lost years by providing residential care, a schooling program and a drop-in centre.

Story

I'm doing this run for my lovely friend Jude, who has dedicated her very busy working life to Mercy in Action (MiA), a family-run charity who's comitted their efforts to the Philippines' poorest families and street children.  She works tirelessly for MiA, so the least I can do is run 21km!

Mercy in Action are a small-scale charity, who's funds help support drop-in centres and night patrol for street kids, residential care for the most vulnerable kids, education as well as home building and larger projects to support the whole community.  See their website for more info http://www.mercyinaction.org.uk/

For those of you who know me, you'll know I wasn't born to run. This, combined with some cold, dark London winter night training, means I'm really pushing the boat out on this one! So please show your support, do more than just 'like' this on Facebook, and please, please make a donation, however large or small, to this fantastic charity.
