Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer death in children and adults under 40. Despite this less than 1% of national funding goes towards brain tumour research.
Three years ago Simon Oldacres lost his life to this cruel cancer.
Simon and I were friends and housemates. I rented a room from him when I first moved to Bristol. He was an excellent chef and taught me how to look after knives correctly and how to cook the perfect steak. He was an patient climbing instructor and helped me get over my fear of heights. Most importantly, he let me watch Dr Who every Saturday night, without fail.
Since he passed away, together with his wife Sophie, his family and friends, I have been cycling and raising money for Brain Tumour Research. We are now an official fundraising group committed to raising £5,000 a year.
This year we are cycling from the Eden Project to Westonbirt Arboretum, approximately 220 miles over 3 days, in September.
Please help us raise money to stop this terrible cancer.
