Our dear, hilarious friend Gemma unexpectedly died in February this year leaving her much loved daughter Kayla without a Mum. Nelson's Journey has provided Kayla and her Aunt Pippa and grandparents with precious support and resources to help them through this.

Gemma would be so cynical about this swim, I can hear her laughing saying "What, we are going to pay you to swim?" but her sense of humour and sarcasm is something that I miss terribly now. Whilst she is gone, local charities like Nelson's journey are struggling to continue to provide a critical service to children to get them through what we would all dread happening. 

Times are tough, please only give if you can - otherwise I'd love some encouragement. The races are on the 16th July (pier to pier race - 1km) and 23rd July (round the pier) in Brighton.
